RICK ROSS ADMITS HE WAS A CORRECTIONAL OFFICER !!! WTF !!!

In the recent issue of Don Diva Ricky decided to STF (Stop The Fuckery) and come clean about his past. “Yes, it’s me,” Ross tells Don Diva. “I never tried to hide my past. I put my name inside my CDs. My company has my [Social Security number]. I could’ve put a company name…I done been up and I done been down and that’s what makes me what I am. I never ratted on a nigga. I never prosecuted a nigga. I never locked up a nigga, that’s first and foremost. I always felt that me being the nigga that I am, I never owed a nigga an explanation. When I’m making my music and I’m talking about blow, it’s because I did it. When I say that I’m rich off cocaine, it’s because I did it. Those are the street principals that apply.”

4th QUARTER SUCCESS?
HIP HOP AND RnB ARE COMING INTO THE 4TH QUARTER

The question now is can Hip Hop and RnB ride the wave of the already high third quarter sales into the fourth quarter and end the year off on the right note?
After a third quarter which saw the successes of the "Carter III" breaking a million in its first week of sales, the wonder lies if T.I.'s highly anticipated "Paper Trail" will continue on a similar path. Coming off the popularity of the " trickin' " craze, T.I.'s third single featuring Rihanna, "Live Your Life" hopes to continue the success of the second release "You could have whatever you like" which spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard charts.
Release Date - September 30th, 2008. Also includes Swing Your Rag ft Swiss beats, & What's Up, What's Happenin'.

With collaborations between artist set to do quite well in the thrid quarter and other artist said to drop before the year's end, we can expect a winter of number one hits. The much played and much loved "Put On" brings Kanye "Autotune" West to the world, and like it or not, his upcoming album "808's and Heartbreaks," dated for release December 16th, will include its share of autotune and special FX's like those heard on the MTV World Premiered single "Love Lockdown"
SHOOTING LIKE KOBE BRYANT!
On September 2nd Young Jeezy released his third major studio album, "Recession" and has extended the summer heat into early fall. With anthem's like "Put On,"featuring Kanye West, and "Amazing", both produced by Drumma Boy, this album sets the bar high for the other artist. "Recession"also includes the mixtape hit "Circulate" and the smash second single, already posted on streetsizwatchin.blogspot.com, "Vacation." Young Jeezy's "Recession" debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts and sold over 260,000 copies in its first week of sales.

With less FX's expect Kanye's attitude to be in full effect. With pressures and stresses of daily life building up, Kanye may need the extra sales to keep the courts quiet. Honestly, these rappers have an image to keep up, and its just unfortunate that the paparazzi had to find out the hard way about Mr. West's hard side. But like they say, the only bad publicity is no publicity!
But after teaching the less swaggered how to enter a room, Kayne West led the charge on the undoubted monster hit of late August. This track comes from T.I.'s album Paper Trail, including Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Jay-z, whom has also listed the track on his album, "Blueprtint 3". This competitve combat of punch lines and lyrical metaphors, unseen lately in Hip Hop, has given a few fresh breaths to the once pronounced deceased.
The third quarter has seen the release of albums, although still good, not quite good enough. This includes LL Cool J's "Exit 13," Kardinal Offishall's "Not for Sale", The Game's L.A.X. (which does have its gems here and there) and the return of Nelly with "Brass Knuckles" but we can only hope that the emergence of the 4th quarter won't result in funeral arrangements.
BE ON THE LOOK OUT:
As we look ahead towards the end of 08 and the beginning of 09, streetsizwatchin.blogspot.com asks you to keep on the look out for Jay-Z's "Blueprint 3." The son of the summer has recently changed his formation and has released his last two albums, "Kingdom Come" and the come back album and blockbuster movie hit, "American Gangsta." This time around we can expect Jigga, with hits like Jockin' Jay-Z""and the afore mentioned "Swagga Like Us." Also set to release are new albums from Mr. Controversial, 50 Cent with "Before I Self Destruct" and Beyonce's new album set to drop on November 18th with the first two singles "If I were a boy" and "Single Ladies" set to release on the same date, October 17th. With no title yet, all thats known is that she not only co-wrote but also co-produced the entire album.
Which album are you most anticipating?
Post comments and let me know if I missed anyone, or if any of our less anticipated albums should've received more shine.
